Meet Gialisa
Gialisa graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University in political science, and then earned her juris doctor degree from Duke University. After practicing law, she became Editor-in-Chief of Orange County Lawyer Magazine. Her admissions advising career started when lawyers asked if Gialisa would help their children with college essays. It was a perfect fit!
Gialisa enjoys providing guidance for students at such a meaningful intersection in their lives. Students respond to her humor and encouragement, and often surprise themselves with how much their writing improves through the process.
Gialisa has completed Safe Zone training through Cerritos College, and has been an LGBTQ youth advocate for over a decade. She honors and respects each student’s unique life experience, providing a safe space in meetings to explore and grow.
Gialisa has personally visited over 35 college campuses in various regions of the United States, staying current on college admissions trends.
When she is not helping students pursue their dreams, Gialisa enjoys serving her local community. She has received the M. Katherine B. Darmer Outstanding Community Service Award from the OC Lavender Bar Association, Community Partner Award from Veterans Legal Institute, and chaired the DEI Committee on the Board of Directors for Orange County’s Public Law Center.
Gialisa provides support in all stages of college advising, from selecting coursework throughout high school to planning summer activities to editing supplemental essays.
